Costume designers

Director of photography, creates distinctive visual look for a film, the job is in charge of camera crews addressing them to create in camera effects but at the same time looking out for their customers. An director of photography can be an individual who guides a group of camera into create the perfect image he has envision or he himself could act up the role of the cameraman and addressing to these issues himself.
Director of photography holds a very high responsibility in how the overall aesthetics of the production will turn out, being consistent is one of the attributes required to become a director of photography as well as an extensive knowledge on camera shots and angles.



Costume designer is someone who designs costumes for actors on set. They usually work with make-up artists to ensure that the actors are dressed and presented properly for a particular  scene, costume designers  usually work away from set creating costumes that would be appropriate for a given quotas  baring in mind it's Mes-en-scene. Costume designers can be a job tied to a organisation or a freelance, professional customer designers can be hired for a custom design, they usually have to follow a guideline on which they have to abide by. Costume designers first have to distinguish who they are creating the costume for, in this i mean by measure the sizes and length of the person to make sure the final product will fit them. Going back on freelance costume designers, this is a thing because each costume designers get their influences from different things meaning that some styles are unique to a creator.

Editors

Audio technician is someone that manages the sound and audio before shooting a scene ensuring that the sound is on point when filming a scene, they usually maintain the technical equipment to record on set. During pre production an audio technician records all sound on set and during post production managing the pre recorded audio editing. An audio technician has to have good general knowledge with editing software as usually they'll be involved

TV news editor, A TV news editor is someone who edits the news together, the news you see on the TV is continuous but there is someone behind it all, connecting clips together with interviews and maintaining a constant flow from information to dialogue is crucial to a TV news editor. An example of a TV News editor doing its job can be managing the transition between the news readers and the live journalists.

Film editor, a film editor is someone who works during post-production, it is a vital role that changes the tide, a good film editor makes rough cuts flow smoothly together with different clips. Film editors usually adds up all the shoot clips and places them on a time-line to be edited either in a linear form or a non linear form. Usually a film editor has to follow a set of instructions on how to edit the film in terms of the style.

Affect effect editor works when the main editing stage has finished, They 'touch up' the final project adding in extra edits such as the typography and additional graphic designs. Someone who is familiar with editing with a background of creative works should be considered for this role as a majority of it involves adding last touches and requires unique ideas.

Management

Production manager is a role that includes managing the budget, creating a strategic business plan and have a good sense of live data management such as creating schedules for each department.

location manager is in charge of getting shot locations and taking photos of the area.
Permissions, handing out location schedules working with the production manager to work out a date that fits in with the accessibility of the location. A location manger should have experience with taking photos and knowing the best locations to film given the quota.

Creative

A graphics designer is someone who creates images, imagery and art online using software, this can be implemented into the film/show in the media industry. A graphics designer should have experience with programs such as Adobe creative suit, photoshop and other illustrations program. Creating logos for companies

Scriptwriter, a scriptwriter is someone who creates the dialogue for the actors in a TV and film industry, this impacts the flow of the entire show/film regarding the content and whether it will engage the audiences in which way. A skillful scriptwriter will engage the audience through the plot and manipulate their emotions in ways such as relating to the cast or creating a emotional response. A scriptwriter must have adequate knowledge on the flow of a story i.e baring in mind Todorov's narrative.

Production log week 1

During this week the main focus was choosing which type of production i were to go with, the class was split between news packages and some choose cooking shows. I looked into a similar at first, a 'smoothie maker machine', this idea was refreshing

i looked into the different book review shows out there

i decided to settle with a book review show.

during the first week i've researched into what type of TV show i'll be doing and decided to go with a Book review show, i've choose this role because it allows me to in depth talk about a particular thing, which allows me to be versatile in how i present and introduce the book itself.

During this week i also filmed my short pitch proposal and got feedback.
